Your Gut Is Your Second Brain. Hike Up Your Happy Hormones.

In the August 29th issue of ‘Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences’, a study was published. They found that your gut is literally your second brain and can significantly influence you mind, mood and behavior.

So, how do you ‘Hike Up your Happy Hormones’? Probiotics. That’s right, probiotics lower the stress-induced hormone corticosterone, resulting in reduced anxiety and depression.

A study published in ‘Neurogastroenterology & Motility’ found that having an insufficient amount of healthy gut probiotics from birth may contribute to poor psychological health.

Even another study concluded that low probiotics in the gut of pregnant women contribute to ADHD, learning disabilities, and autism.

What Interferes With Healthy Gut Bacteria?

Processed Foods, sweetened drinks, antibiotics, chlorinated water, antibacterial soap, agricultural chemicals, and pollution.
